How do you keep a 50-foot-tall, steel eating giant a secret? A boy's best friend is his robot in this animated adventure which focuses on Hogarth, an imaginative nine-year-old boy who daydreams of alien invasions and doing battle with Communist agents. When an enormous fifty-foot robot falls out of the night sky Hogarth is the first person to stumble upon him. However, a paranoid government agent soon arrives in town, determined to destroy the giant at all costs. It's up to Hogarth to protect his new best friend.

But not much... The Ugly Duckling and Me is an animated twist on the classic fairy tale about beauty being in the eye of the beholder. It’s true that Hans Christian Andersen didn’t have a “Me” in his unforgettable fairytale, but this is more than just the story of the Ugly Duckling. This time around the story follows the adventures of Ratso who's taking off to find fame and fortune in a carnival, accompanied by a worm and a duckling who isn't exactly eye-catching. However, "the best-laid plans of rats and ducks" don't always work out as expected.

Lepel is a mathmatical genius. His parents have mysteriously disappeared in a hot-air balloon and he's been left in the care of his mean grandmother who forces him to count buttons. When Lepel finally escapes from his grandmother's clutches, he hides in a department store and quickly becomes friends with Pleun, who lives behind the sweaters. Together the kids get help to find Lepel's parents from kind but dopey Max, a sales assistant. Meanwhile, Grandma and Lepel's maths teacher are doing everything they can to snatch Lepel back.

But he's certainly not your normal baby. He knows what he wants very well and he's not afraid to say it. Plus, he was born able to speak and run - extremely fast. The Sorceress Karaba has cast a powerful spell on Kirikou's village. So Kirikou decides to set out on an adventure-filled voyage to understand the cause of her wickedness, and put a stop to it.
